Annual Tuck’s Point Worship Service
We hope you can join us for our Annual Tuck’s Point Worship Service at “The Chowder House” (17 Tuck’s Point Rd.) on Sunday, June 23rd, 10 AM! You are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and stay to socialize following the service; the Vitality Committee is providing cake and lemonade. The sermon that day will be a little different.
The title will be “Light from Dark Corners,” and it will be a “Part 2″ to the Sermon on unity that Rev. Marlayna preached a couple of weeks ago. As part of the sermon, you will be invited–if you wish, no pressure!–to turn to someone sitting next to you and have a brief spiritual discussion o
n two questions (printed below). Feel free to start thinking about how you might answer these questions now! Hope you will consider inviting a friend or family member to join you (and let them know re the discussion questions).
- Describe a time when you felt that God gave you the gift of “light,” however you want to interpret that. (e.g., direction, understanding, insight, joy)
- Describe a time when someone you know– who generally sees things differently from you–gave you the gift of “light,” however you want to interpret that. (e.g., direction, understanding, insight, joy)
Scripture readings for June 23rd will be: Exodus 13:21, John 8:12, Matthew 5:14-16
