Supporting The Church
In most Christian churches, members provide some level of support and giving for the church. It may surprise you that First Parish is entirely supported and funded by the members of its congregation and community and, like all Congregational churches, does not receive any funding from its national organization, the United Church of Christ (UCC).
That makes us a church that is essentially run by the congregation for the congregation. Together, as a collective church community, we are responsible for ensuring First Parish’s financial health so we can support the varied needs and passions of our congregation.
As an open and welcoming church, we respect the unique challenges each one of us faces in our personal lives and welcome whatever contribution you are able to make towards the strength and livelihood of our church.
Whether it is financial support through a traditional Annual Pledge, by taking advantage of Electronic Giving, by considering the long-view through Planned Giving, perhaps helping address a specific congregational need such as the planned foundation repairs, or by giving your talents and time to First Parish’s Programs and Activities, we are grateful for your generosity!
