Faith Formation for Children and Youth

At First Parish Church, Congregational, we value kids of all ages and encourage families of all configurations to join in our Christian worship, activities and spiritual experiences. We invite you to join us on a vibrant, joy-filled journey in our sanctuary, classrooms and in our community. In service to our fellow travelers, we fully welcome all we encounter to walk with us while we discover, question, share and celebrate the spiritual gifts unique to each participant.

We offer nursery care (ages 6 weeks to 3 years) during Worship in our chapel building and we welcome prekindergarten through grade 6 to our story-based Spiritual Formation time. These sessions are hands-on, arts-integrated, and developmentally appropriate as we strive to connect the stories and lessons of the Bible to our daily lives and circumstances. For teens, we offer a wide variety of community service experiences, fellowship gatherings, and family events. Summer offerings include thematic Bible Experience Week (also known as Vacation Bible School or VBS); a Breakfast Buddies Week for littles and their adult(s); a judged, intergenerational Art Show; and one or more family-focused events.
